Anyone can laugh at the ridiculous, pathetic, awkward moments of our lives. However, some people are able to laugh at themselves without holding any disdain for their shortcomings. Set in small town India, Fukrey Returns portrays this ideal of self-deprecation with a healthy dose of hilarity. The movie features an amateurish plotline and poor acting by most actors giving it a feel of reality. This is what makes the movie so hilarious despite its low production standards. Fukrey Returns starts off with Chiku (Pulkit Samrat), Zafar (Ali Fazal), Lali (Manjot Singh) and Hunny Bahadur(Varun Sharma) struggling to get by. Chiku is trying to get a hold on his sweet tooth for Pot Pan Drops, Lali is trying to reinvent his image of being a gangster, Zafar is trying to get over his affection for Dimple(the love interest) and Hunny is just being Hunny. The four stumble upon a promising business opportunity where they plan to sell their urine, but this is exactly what worries the chief of police. The story takes a sharp turn and we see various humorous sequences that highlight why we live and die for our sweet tooth and then the movie ends on a cliffhanger. It has been reported that Fukrey Returns is based on the real life of Nihal Chand, who tried to start his own urine business in Mumbai with his friends. The movie is supposed to be released in Indian theaters on 3 January 2016. The movie was released in North America on Netflix.
